Normand Bernard Begnoche, 50, of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 5, 2010. Normand was born December 24, 1959 in St. Albans, Vermont to Lorraine Scott and the late Bernard Begnoche. He was raised in St. Albans where he graduated from Bellows Free Academy in 1979. Normand started to pursue a career in the Navy but opted to focus on helping others so he chose to attend college. In 1982, he graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
He moved many times, completing his Doctorate in Psychology in 1996 at the University of North Texas, before making Little Rock his home for the past 7 years. Normand spent many years practicing neuropsychology and was on the faculty of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Geriatric Department, Institute on Aging. He was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Louise Ward-Begnoche, and their three daughters, Catherine Lorraine (8), Mirielle Elizabeth (5) and Aimee Louise (2). He is also survived by his brother, Paul and sister-in-law Wanda Begnoche, his brother, Marc and sister-in-law Mary Begnoche, his sister, Anne-Marie Begnoche-Miller, and his step-sister, Monique Boitnott and brother-in-law Michael Boitnott.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday April 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, officiated by Dr. Bryan Fink. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Arkansas Alzheimers Association and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org.).
