Norman Ray "Bob" Masters age 86 of Bismarck died Wednesday in Arkadelphia. He was born May 23, 1923 the son of Claude and Amy Barrett Masters. Mr. Masters was a retired John Deere dealer, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII and a Methodist. Mr. Masters and his late wife June raised and showed Shetland and Classic ponies all over the U. S.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Joyce Yopp of Bloomfield, NE, Leona Kay Clayton of Arkadelphia, AR, June Bobette Colgrove of Papillion, NE, two sisters, Irene Hanner of Lincoln, NE and Vivian Parker of Syracuse, NE, nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a special niece, Bonnie Nannen of Little Rock, AR.
A celebration of Mr. Masters life will be held from 6-8 PM Friday evening in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Langley as speaker. Final arrangements will be conducted by the Peterson Mortuary in Nebraska City, NE.
