Norma Rushin

Norma Jean Rushin (Webb) died peacefully surrounded by family on June 17, 2018 in Little Rock at the age of 86. She was a member of Markham Street Baptist Church.

She was born on February 9, 1932 in Faulkner County, Arkansas to Floyd and Esther Webb. She married Stanley A. Rushin at the young age of 16 in 1948. In 1962, she and Stan co-founded Rushin Upholstery Supply, which they owned for almost 50 years. Norma Jean was known to be a workaholic, but in her pastime, her favorite things were trout fishing on the Little Red River, playing slot machines, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Norma Jean is survived by two brothers, Wilbur (Montene) and Wayne (Fern) Webb; one sister, Marilyn (Lewis) Crow; her four children, Michael (Diane) Rushin, Sr., Deborah Henry, Janet (Mark) Baker, and Scott Rushin; her grandchildren, Michael Rushin, Jr., Amy (Cory) Rushin, Shera (Ted) Neikirk, Michelle (Marc) Yount, Megan Baker, Mallory and Kayley Rushin; and great-grandchildren, Abby and Zach Rushin, Zoe and Paxton Neikirk, and Maren and Baker Yount. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Stanley Rushin; parents, Floyd and Esther Webb; five brothers, Harold, Jack, Donald "Bud," Roy Lee, and Wendall Webb; two sisters, Lois Baker and Patsy Bailey; her granddaughter-in-law, Renea Rushin; and her beloved dogs and companions, Russy and Buddy.

A celebration of Norma Jean's life will be Wednesday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Ed Hinkson. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood. Norma Jean gave without hesitation to anyone in need. In honor of her generosity, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to one's favorite charity.

Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501)224-2200. Norma Jean's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
