Norma Zell Nieto

Norma Zell Nieto, age 84, of Norman, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

She was born on September 1, 1938, in Story, the daughter of Herbert S. and Pauline Smith Harvey.  Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Nieto; her parents; and her brother, Dois Harvey.

Norma married Arthur Nieto on September 11, 1956. She worked at the Piggly Wiggly, Cordell’s, K-Mart, and before she retired, she was a salesclerk at JC Penny’s for twenty years. She thoroughly loved reading and her loving K-9 companions. Norma lived in Hot Springs for 65 years and lived in the same home for 55 years. In 2020, she moved to Norman and lived next door to her son, Rick. To know Norma was to love Norma and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Norma is survived by her two sons, Mark Nieto of Story, and Rick Nieto and his wife, Carol Gasser of Norman; her beloved niece, Linda Reffel and her husband, John of Colorado; and loving extended family members and wonderful friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home-Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.

The family will be holding graveside services at a later date at Reed Cemetery.
