Norma Martinet
Norma B. Martinet, 81, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2008. She was born August 11, 1927 in Huntington Beach, California to the late Norman Beaton Goodman and Nellie Clark Millar Goodman.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori Jade Fraga of Florida and Catherine Fortune Beal of Virginia, as well as seven grandchildren, Rey Allen of New York, Jeannette Allen of Texas, Jamie Griffith and Hunter Griffith of Florida, Gina Gibson, Jeffrey Gibson and Jennifer Beale of Virginia. Mrs. Martinet was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Martinet, daughter Corby Lynn Allen, and sons, Harold George Fortune, Jr. and John Roger Fortune.
Norma loved to read, sketch and garden. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed time with her many friends, not only from church but also at Cabot Senior Center. She and Tom both shared a love for God and shared that love through many ministries. Among these were orphanages and food banks. Norma was a member of Family Life Church of Cabot, Arkansas and also attended First Baptist Church of Cabot for many years. While living at Cabot Nursing and Rehabilitation Center the past couple of years, she loved to listen to Royce Meeks of Cabot, who faithfully shares God?s Word every Sunday at the center. She also enjoyed the many individuals who came and sang to the residents that lived there as well as those who helped her on a daily basis. She will be missed.
