Norma Jean Chase, age 86, of Bismarck passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at a local hospital in Hot Springs. She was born January 6, 1938 in Point Cedar, Arkansas, to Gilford Weatherford and Velma Caver. Norma enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with her family and friends. She was an LPN at Ouachita Memorial Hospital in Hot Springs until the move to the new AMI-National Park Hospital in 1983. She retired from Healthpark Hospital in 2011. Norma was a member of Bismarck Pentecostal Church.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Thelma Imojean Weatherford; and her husband, Donald L. Chase.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Robertson of Bismarck; one grandson, Matthew Abaza of Bismarck.
Graveside services are 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2024 at Philippi Cemetery in Point Cedar with Brother Van Glidewell officiating. Pallbearers are Glen Burton, Danny Chase, Tim Jordan, Terry Branstetter, Darrin Lambert, and J.D. Burton. Honorary pallbearers are Odell Chase, Jeff Chase, Wayne Kizer, and Joe Rios.
