Norma Anderson

Norma Anderson

Norma Ubungen Antipolo Kittell Anderson was a faithful servant of God and an endless source of love and strength to her family and friends. Norma was born in the Philippines on December 28, 1943. She immigrated to the United States and began a life of service as a nurse in Charlottesville, VA. There, Norma married Harry Brode Kittell, had four children, and started their family in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. In the early 1980s, Norma and her family moved to Little Rock, AR. She served as a registered nurse at St Vincent's Infirmary and the Central Arkansas Veterans' Hospital for more than 25 years. She spent her whole life caring for others.

Norma was widowed in 1987. In 2000, Norma found love and a life-long partner in James Dean Anderson. They were married May 18, 2001 in the Philippines. Norma and James lived together in Little Rock, AR and worked at the Veterans' Hospital together. They retired together, traveled the world, and loved their children and 15 grandchildren.

"How Cool is it that the Same God Who Created Mountains, Oceans and Galaxies, Thought the World Needed One of you Too." James added, "...And then God gave you to me for a short time."

On Friday, March 13, 2020, Norma was admitted to the CCU at St. Vincent's Infirmary. On Saturday March 28, 2020, Norma went to be with the Lord and reunited with her family in heaven. James is so very grateful for the time our Good Lord gave him to share with Norma. Her children, grandchildren and many friends will forever miss her dearly. We will always remember her strong, giving heart and spirit, and the joy and laughter she so warmly spread to all she came in contact with. She left us the perfect example of how to live each moment with grace and gratitude. The family finds peace knowing that Norma is with her heavenly Father, and what a joyous reception she had! She is with the One who fearfully and wonderfully made her; she is in no more pain and feels no sorrow as He holds tightly to her hand. We grieve for we will miss her here, but know that we will see her again.

Norma is preceded in death by Harry B. Kittell, her parents, Juanito Antipolo Sr. and Cleofe Ubungen Antipolo, and her siblings, Romeo and Enriqueta, and sister-in-law, Rica. She is survived by her husband, James, her children, Maria Wells (Ronald), Christopher Kittell (Patricia), Michael Kittell (Joann), Deborah Jones (Brad); and her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Joshua, Joseph, Jonathan, Dylan, William, Michael, Henry, Eleanor, Warren, Olivia, Isabelle, Amity, and Jacoby. She is also survived by her siblings, Samuel (Yolanda), Olivia, Juanito Jr. (Norma), Linda (Ferdie), Oscar, Cleonito, Reynaldo, and sister-in-law, Norie.
