Noramae Virginia Jackson Shaw, 66, of Little Rock, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 14, 1947 in Quitman. Noramae was married to Jarrell Bentley Shaw and they had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 14, 2013. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings. Noramae worked for the PCSSD as a bus driver and served many students during her 28 year career. She was a loving wife, mother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy Jackson of Taylor, Michigan and Leona Rice Keathley of Wooster; her brother, David Keathley of Wooster; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Shaw of Little Rock; and her son, Alan W. Shaw of Little Rock.
Noramae is survived by her husband, Jarrell Shaw; her cherished sons and daughters: Larry L. Shaw of Wooster, Terri L. Bailey (Bud) of Little Rock, Darren D. Shaw (Kara) of Benton, Randy J. Shaw of Bryant, Amber D. Shaw of State College, Pennsylvania and Jeffrey S. Shaw of Bentonville; daughter-in-law, Sharrell Shaw; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Clayburne Jackson of Quitman, Elayne Day (Floyd) of Perry, Oklahoma, Judy Brown and Rebecca Choate, both of Greenbrier, Keith Jackson of Quitman, Kenneth Jackson and Kathy Smith, both of Taylor, Michigan; and a beloved extended family of cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Thursday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Otter Creek Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 13901 Quail Run Dr., Little Rock, 72210, officiated by Bishop Jason Jones. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
