Nora Delene Barger Molder, 92, of the Apple Hill Community, finished her time on earth and went to work for the Lord on September 25, 2021. She was born February 6, 1929 to Mary Victoria and Ora Ardell Rees.
“Miss Nora” was one of the hardest working women ever. She grew up on a working farm and continued that hard working life style raising cattle on a farm of her own. Nora retired from Maybelline during that same time. She then began managing rental homes and selling real estate. One of the perks, while working at Maybelline, was make up, lipstick, and nail polish samples galore. Many women, both young and old, enjoyed going through these and always taking a bag full home. She was truly an outdoor girl with both vegetable and flower gardening. Nora mowed her yard with her John Deere until just a few years ago. Her doctor told her to put down the weedeater, so instead she picked up her garden hoe.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents, son Timothy Lynn, husband Dan, sisters Marie (Dean), Leva Mae (Charles), Hazel Laverne “Sissy” (Phil), and brothers Alfred (Immogene), Cecil (Marjorie), Ruben (Ruby), Ora Thurman “Sonny” (Ann), Coy (Mary), and Noble (Nola).
She is survived by sons Denver Barger (Dana) and Danny Barger (Suzanne), Kevin Molder (Jan), grandchildren Kaitlin Barger, Tara Scallion (Larry), Toni Lindsey (Michael), Bryan Barger, Carson Molder, and Kris Ware (Kristen), and great grandchildren Ben Scallion, Sydney Scallion, Thomas Gray Lindsey, Dylan Barger and Landon Barger.
Visitation is 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe, AR on Wednesday, September 28, 2021. The funeral will be at 16th Section United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2021. Burial will be at 16th Section Cemetery. Social distancing and masks are recommended. Nora’s favorite color was purple. Those that knew her well understand more her love of this color. If possible, it would be appreciated if you wear purple to her funeral.
