Nona "Sue" McCormick, a beloved member of the community, went to home to her lord at home on January 20, 2024, in Pearcy, Arkansas. She was born on June 6, 1944, in Poteau, Oklahoma to her mother and father Cecil Herbert Long and Willene Anita Braisher Long.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a loving husband of 52 years Henry R. McCormick, and daughter Tammy Bishop.
Sue enjoyed spending time honing her crocheting skills, and making beautiful blankets for family and friends. Family meant everything to Sue as she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother friend. She retired from K-Mart after working 20 loyal years with the company. She was a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church and Rusty Relics Tractor Club.
She is survived by her son Bryan (Kim) McCormick, and six grandchildren: Jeremy (Mesheila) McCormick, Rodney McCormick, Brandon Bean, Robbie (Sara) Caldwell, Emma (Mike) Sirmon, and Shena Thew. She was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.
To celebrate Sue's life, visitation will be held at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Glenwood, Arkansas, on January 27, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with Bro. Bobby Lock and Bro. Benji Francis officiating.
Interment will take place at Mt. Tabor cemetery in Glenwood.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy McCormick, Rodney McCormick, Caden McCormick, Ben Buck, Tim McCormick, and Adam McCormick.
Honorary pallbearers are Casen McCormick and Carolyn Schreibvogel.
