Nola Belle Griffin Tucker Feemster

Nola Belle Griffin Tucker Feemster, age 88, passed from her earthly home on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at her home in Newhope, AR.

Nola was born on December 24, 1934, at Battiest, Oklahoma, to Luther and Virgie Dean Griffin.

She graduated from Battiest High School, where she met her first husband, Bill Tucker, and married him on May 14, 1953. Together they had 8 children. Bill preceded her in death on December 9, 1973, leaving her to raise the family, which she did with love and pride. She was the most loving dedicated mother to all her children and many more of their friends who were hanging out most days at her home. Family was very important to her and she never failed to let them know how much she loved them.

On December 27, 1989, she married the love of her life, Joe Feemster, whom she had "dated" since 1977, and helped raise her children as his own. Together they made a loving team and enjoyed every second they had together, from hunting to fishing or just riding the back roads. They had a love like no other. Their favorite thing was to take a drive to Oklahoma to the Casino to spend the day or work in the garden, which they grew every year and took great pride in.  Nola was a member of the Newhope Freewill Baptist Church.

The hole left by Nola's passing will be impossible to fill. She loved all of her children and grandchildren so much. They all have a story to tell about spending time at Grandma's.

Nola was preceded in death by her first husband on December 9, 1973; her second husband, Joe Feemster, on December 5, 2014; her sons, Royce, Tony, and Oneal Tucker; her daughter, Karen Fortenberry; her parents; and her only brother, Delbert Griffin.

Nola is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Norma Tucker of Newhope; her daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Jim Wigley of Tucumcari, New Mexico, Kathy and Richard Payne of Hugo, Oklahoma and Deana and Donnie Manasco of Newhope; her son-in-law, Mike Fortenberry, her daughter-in-law, Laura Tucker; her brother-in-law, Bo Feemster; her sister-in-law, Verma (Doodle) Blair; twenty-one grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one very special cousin/sister, Ola Mae Trout, who was a double first cousin, but more of a sister and her closest friend; numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
