Noel Goolsby

Noel Goolsby, aged 72, of Amity, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022.

He was born December 25, 1949, in Pasadena, Texas, the son of Ovie G. Goolsby and Lessie F. Henson Goolsby.  In 1973, he married Theresa Sheehy, who preceded him in death in 2011.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Hope Lynn Goolsby.

Noel was a member of Sweet Home Church.  He was a heavy equipment diesel mechanic.  He liked to build guns and do gunsmithing jobs.  Noel liked to watch war and western movies and the history channel. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his son, Robert Russell; grandchildren, Laken Bell, Bryar Bell, Bow Taylor, Bryan Taylor, Brandon Taylor and Rachel Nugent; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Luke, and Layla; his sister, Ovita Goolsby; extended family and a host of many good friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Cremation arrangement are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
