Nicolas "Big Nic" Andrew Blakley

On April 19, 1981 our world became a whole lot brighter when Nicolas Andrew Blakley was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. “Big Nic” was loved by all who knew him and his heart was as big as his stature. Nic enjoyed hunting and fishing and has been his Dad’s hunting partner since he was a child.

He loved his mom and was always quick to tell his friends “I’m gonna tell my mom” when they weren’t doing what he thought they should.

Nicolas passed from this life on March 21, 2022 at the age of 40.

Nic worked as a printing pressman for Daniel Label Printing, Inc. for 12 years. He took pride in his work and really enjoyed working for the Daniel family. He also worked at McSwain Sports Center. He and the Hughes family formed a lasting friendship.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Blakley and Ralph Haigwood and his adoring grandmother, Beatrice “Granny Bea” Haigwood. Left to cherish his memory are his parents Donny and Debe Blakley of Scott, Arkansas; sister, Kristy Stockton (Aaron) of Scott, Arkansas; nephews, Alexander and Paxton Stockton; and niece, Amelia Stockton; grandmother, Mary Blakley of Sherwood, Arkansas; daughter, Blakely Haynes of Sherwood, Arkansas; fiancé, Nikki Huddleston and bonus children Cole, Sydnee and Kada of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2022 at New Life Ministries (12506 Hwy 165, North Little Rock). A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the church with Pastor Mark Melton officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park (10200 Hwy 5, Alexander).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Life Christian Academy (12506 Hwy 165, North Little Rock, AR 72117).

Pallbearers will be: Randy Hughes, Ronnie Fisher, Josh McArthur, Josh Murphy, Jeremy Teague and Jason Teague.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Donald Blakley, Rob Post, Johnathan Ball, David Allison, Dave Boerner and Josh Swiney.
