Newt Williamson, 84, of Jacksonville passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006. He retired from Colonial Bakery after 32 years as a Maintenance Engineer. After retirement he loved raising cattle and gardening. He was a member of Bayou Meto Baptist Church, Bakery and Confectionary Union and a World War II veteran where he served in the Pacific.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy (Kennedy) Williamson; son, Gary (Cindi) Williamson, of Sherwood; three daughters, Rita (Wayne) Gruber, of North Little Rock, Marion Tudor, of Arlington, Texas and Peggy (Tony) Moody, of Clio, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Christy, Regan, Stephanie, David, Will, Codi and Erin; and two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Brielle. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday at Bayou Meto Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery.
