Nelly Faye Allmon, 66, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2006 in Little Rock. She was born on March 22, 1940 in Philadelphia, Mississippi, the daughter of Arthur and Betty Ann Simmons McDonald. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Allmon, her parents and two brothers, Arthur McDonald, Jr. and Lamar McDonald.
Survivors are her son, Michael McDonald (Annette) of Olympia, Washington; daughters, Kimberly Ann Harris (Cedric) and Karen Khabeer, both of Little Rock; brothers, R. J. McDonald and Billy R. McDonald, both of Syracuse, New York, and Cleo McDonald and Larry McDonald, both of Philadelphia, Mississippi; sisters, Neelie M. Hartdige of Chicago, Illinois and Linda McDonald of Ft. Washington, Maryland; seven grandchildren, Marquita McDonald, Tamika Kenyatta Harris, Andrea Harris, Latrice Allmon, Marie Houston, Fredrick Houston and Eugene Cox, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 1, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court (NW corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Longley Baptist Church, 9900 Geyer Springs Rd., Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Dwight D. Townsend, Sr. Burial will follow in Elm Lawn Cemetery.
