Nellie White

Nellie Dean White, 92, of Little Rock, formerly of Clinton, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009. She was born August 11, 1916 in DeWitt to the late John Lewis and Gertrude Howard. She attended Stuttgart Schools, was a member of First Nazarene Church of Clinton and worked as a seamstress for Ottenheimer?s Tuff Nutt and Kellwood Company. She was devoted to all her family, open hearted and giving to everyone.
She is survived by two daughters, Alice Perryman and husband, David, of Little Rock and Pat Gire, of Jacksonville; son, Jerry Hughes and wife, Nina, of Little Rock; grandchildren, Kevin and Kelly Hughes, Lori and Roger Starling, David and Willa Perryman, Charles and Linda Perryman, Kim and Jerry Barnett, Eric Conway, Joey and Jackie Jarratt, Rhonda Jarratt; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. White; two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
