Nellie Vogt

Nellie Mae Nelson Vogt, 85, of Sherwood, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008. She was born April 29, 1923, in Levy, to the late John and Catherine Nelson. She graduated from North Little Rock High School, and worked at Camp Robinson during World War II.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Bernotus of Crete, Illinois and Sarah (Barton) Jennings of Avon, Illinois; two sons, William (Joni) Vogt of Alexandria, Louisiana and David Vogt of Sherwood; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Gordan Nelson of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and William Nelson of Maumelle; two sisters, Charlotte Trieber of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Mary Lou Fry of Alexandria, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Vogt.
Mrs. Vogt was a member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, and spent the last 20 years of her life studying family genealogy.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
