Nellie Mae Hall passed away on Sunday, 7 February 2016. She was born on 31 July 1932 to Dudley and Lillie Mae Peters. She was the widower of Henry Thomas Hall. Once she retired from UCA you would find her cooking or going fishing with anyone who would take her. Known for her pies, you could always count on two, one to eat then and one to take with you to go. Nellie Mae had five children, Mary McPherson (Wayne), Thomas Hall (Margaret), Jerry Hall (Margie), George Hall (Loretta) and was preceded in death by Pattie McCoy (Ricky). She had fifteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren whom she enjoyed immensely. She had an infectious smile and laugh that brought out the best in everyone. Nellie Mae touched the lives of many at UCA and Southridge Village nursing home. She was everyone’s mother and everyone’s grandmother, a rare one of a kind soul and will be missed by all. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, from 6-8pm and Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10am, both at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home in Conway.
