Neidth Joseph Nooner, 87, of Conway, and lifetime resident of Faulkner County, passed away September 25, 2014. He was born July 25, 1927, in Enola, to Hebert and Lola Nooner. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Harlene Nooner, four brothers and one sister. He began working while in the 7th grade and retired at the age of 80 years from First National Bank (Regions Bank). He was an Army Veteran of WWII and a mason. He was a deacon and long time Sunday school teacher at Second Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Nooner; son, Joseph Nooner and wife Sharon of Memphis, Tennessee, and daughters, Elaine Hughes and husband Bill of Mountain Home, Connie Alred of Athens, Alabama, Janet Crownover and husband Jim of Bee Branch, and Sandy Alred of Anchorage, Alaska; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, September 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett with Bill Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wooster.
