Nancy Symonds

Nancy Symonds, age 78, of Newhope, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

She was born on October 9, 1943, in Moab, Utah, the daughter of Ammon Allen and Helen Day Allen.  On April 20, 1962, she was married to the love of her life, Ferris Symonds.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Jim Allen.

For over 25 years Nancy worked for Walmart until her retirement.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors and she loved guacamole dip and chips. Nancy’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, who she loved and adored with all her heart.  She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ferris Symonds of Newhope; her children and their spouses, Karla and Jason Layton, Diane and Greg Smith, all of Newhope and Kevin and Crystal Symonds of Tooele, Utah; three grandchildren, Haylie Smith, Zach Layton and Skylar Symonds; three brothers, David Allen, Carl Allen and Don Allen; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in the Bissell Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood.
