Nancy Elizabeth Westbrook Kesterson Miller was born in Benton, Arkansas on September 16, 1936 to the late Morris and Lydia Westbrook. Elizabeth passed away at home on Monday, June 4, 2012 with her family at her side. Married 17 years to Col. Lou Miller, she always said we were married 17 years and never had a fuss. Elizabeth was a graduate of Hendrix College where she was a 50 year member of the Hendrix 50 Year Century Club, and received her Masters at the University of Arkansas. She taught over 30 years in the public school systems in Hot Springs, Pine Bluff and Little Rock before retiring in 1997, and then taught at Pulaski Academy and the Cathedral School. She was a 50 year member of PEO and was Chairperson in support of funding Cotey College.
Elizabeth was an avid bridge player, belonging to a number of bridge clubs. She could solve crossword puzzles all day long, and loved to travel with her husband and friends. She and Lou were members of St. James United Methodist Church and belonged to the Forum Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Lou Miller; daughters, Katherine Ann Stanton of Louisville, Kentucky and Karen Elizabeth Phillips of Little Rock; step-daughter, Karen Lynn Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska; step-son, Kurt Scott Miller of Olympia, Washington; grandchildren, Jack Phillips, Nick Phillips, Elliott Stanton, Luke Stanton; and step-grandchildren, Kyle Miller and Kelly Miller.
