Murrell Hardcastle

Murrell J. Hardcastle, 87, of Jacksonville passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010. He was born March 3, 1923 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Buck and Jewell Holt Hardcastle. He was a World War II United States Army veteran and was awarded four bronze stars. Murrell worked for Veterans Administrative Hospital in North Little Rock as a supply clerk for 29 years and was a member of Bethel Assembly of God church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret (Nichols) Hardcastle; two sons, J.C. Hardcastle and wife Mary and Michael Hardcastle, all of Jacksonville; two daughters, Sherry Burton and husband Rick, of Jacksonville and Vicky Ederington, of Little Rock; and four grandchildren, Michael Hardcastle, Jr., Lauren Burton, Sarah Hillman and Joseph Ederington. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Connie Hardcastle; three brothers, James, Russell and J.C. Hardcastle.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Randy Pastor and the staff of Woodland Hills Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
