Faye D. Smith, age 97, died April 28, 2012. She was born on July 31, 1914 to Eli and Zelma Phillips in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
She had been a resident at The Heritage Living Center in Conway since 2005. Before that, since 1955, she lived in North Little Rock.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry G. Smith; a daughter, Dollene Taylor; two sisters; and one brother. She is survived by son-in-law, Roger Taylor, of Conway; two grandchildren, William S. Taylor, of Conway and Leslie F. Taylor, of Benton; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Alex Taylor, of Conway; and a sister, Sadie Marshall, of Alexandria, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Dollene Taylor Scholarship Fund, Jacksonville High School, 2400 Linda Lane, Jacksonville, AR 72076.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at the Heritage Living Center for their support and kindness while Faye was a resident and especially during her final days.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 1st at North Little Rock Funeral Homes. Internment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
