Mrs. Aleen Mash

Aleen A. (White) Mash, 90, went to her heavenly home on Friday, January 1, 2010 after a long illness of Parkinson's disease and Congestive Heart Failure. Aleen was born on July 13, 1919 in Antioch (Beebe), Arkansas. She was born to Richard Clint White and Esther White who preceded her in death.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband of 64 years, L.D. Mash, two brothers, John L. and Richard Warren White; and one sister, Myra Nell Campbell.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Ellen (Mash) Abington, husband Doc Abington of Beebe; a brother, James R. White and wife Betty White of Little Rock; grandchildren, Susan (Robbie) Primeaux and Jessica (Robert) Keeling; great-grandchildren, William Armstrong and Bryce Primeaux; sisters-in-law Mary Christine White and Reba Nell Ratliff; special niece Carla (Tom) Coleman; and other special nieces and nephews.

Aleen Mash was a landscape painter who loved to bless family members with her beautiful artwork. She was also a long standing member of the Eastern Star as well as a member of the VFW. Aleen was previously a nurse at the State Hospital in Little Rock. She and her husband also dairy farmed. She was a caring mother and grandmother and a fantastic cook who passed that passion on to her daughter. Aleen was a wildlife lover and loved bird watching. She was also a perfect shot with a rifle and loved hunting. She was an avid reader with a great sense of humor. Until her mid 80's she loved to play Nintendo. She was devoted to her family and will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Beebe or Antioch Community Church on Hwy 31 North.
