Milton A. Neighbours of Conway, AR died August 20 in Little Rock AR. He was born in Pangburn on July 7, 1925 to the late D.T. and Mattie (Booker) Neighbours.
He was raised in the Pangburn area. He entered the Army in 1943, served in Italy where he was wounded and then sent home in 1946. Began his life with his wife in Searcy and Pangburn area. They had two children Art and Ramona. The family moved to California in March of 1953 where Milton found work in a gas station, then in mobile homes with Lancer Mobile Homes where he worked for 22 years.
Milton and Bernice moved back to Arkansas in 1980 where he worked as a plumber for a few years. They had a small farm with horses, cows, and chickens. He really loved his horses.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life Bernice (Bennett) Neighbours and his son Art Neighbours, two brothers Wesley and David, one sister Estelle Covington.
He is survived by daughter Ramona Dickens and Larry of Conway, daughter-in-law Susan Neighbours of Clinton.
Grandsons Jeremy Michael Ritchie (Angie) of Damascus, Jarrod Alan Ritchie (Shelly) of Conway, Milton Artemas Neighbours (Becca) of Clinton. Several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his church family Vilonia Church of the Nazarene.
Special thanks goes to John L. McClellan Hospital, the staff in 6d and 6E. They were very caring to dad and our family.
Visitation is Thursday, August 23 from 5-7 p.m. in Griffin Leggett Conway Chapel. Service is Friday, August 24 at 10 a.m. at Church of the Nazarene 1054 Main Street in Vilonia.
