Monteen Whitfield, 81, of North Little Rock passed away surrounded by her family February 10, 2016. She was born July 19, 1934 in Mayflower, Arkansas. She was employed by Timex for 16 years and then managed her family business up until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.R. "Skinny" and Geneva Posey Long; sister, Faye Naylor; and brother, Butch Long.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Whitfield; son, Gary Whitfield of Conway; daughter, Debi Freeman of North Little Rock; granddaughter, Brandi (Chris) Koscielny of North Little Rock; and brother, Doug (Brenda) Long of Mayflower.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church of Vilonia, 1206 Main Street, Hwy 64, Vilonia, Arkansas 72173.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 in Edgewood Memorial Park.
