Monica Alvira Warren, 68, of Alexander, AR, went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2023. She was born to parents Robert Wilson and Adassa Wilson, on September 9, 1954, in St. Thomas, Jamaica, W.I.

Monica worked as a Housekeeper for several years. She worked at A G Holley Hospital in Lantana, FL for many years until she moved to Little Rock, AR in 2011. After moving to Little Rock AR, she began working at UAMS where she remained until 2019.

After several years of service at both A G Holley State Hospital, Lantana, FL and UAMS, Little Rock, AR, she retired in 2019.

She loved God and her family. She was a prayer warrior and passionate about the Word of God. She shared her love for God with everyone that met her. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, and cooking.

Monica met Lester in May of 1972 and they were married August 20, 1972, in St. Thomas, Jamaica W.I. Together they raised 3 children Clifton, Shernette, Ann-Marie, and later adopted Dave.

Monica is survived by her husband, Lester Warren; sons, Clifton (Sandra Wilkins) Warren, Dave Warren;  daughters, Shernette (Eric) Coleman, Ann-Marie Warren; sisters, Joyce Bragnock, Veronica (Samuel) Jones, Bernice (Neville) Williams, and Eileen (Charles) Lindsey; brother, Timothy (Charmaine) Wilson; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adassa and Robert Wilson, sister, Jeanetta Simpson; and brother, Rudolph Wilson.

The family has entrusted Smith Little Rock Funeral Home with the arrangements. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2023, 10AM at Remnant Church International, 11715 Rainwood Rd, Little Rock, AR 72212, reception will be immediately after the service.  Apostle Victor Wynn, Sr. will officiate the ceremony.
