Modene Farley, 86, of Little Rock, died peacefully on Feb. 26. She is survived by a son, Dan Farley of Little Rock; a daughter, Carol Farley Helms of Morristown, TN, and a grandson, Jason Cutler (Nandhu Puri) of Coimbatore, India; a sister, Charlene Berry and a brother, Charles Durham, both of Wilburn.
She was born in Pangburn, the daughter of Charles R. (Roy) and Glady Durham. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, W.A. (Sonny) Farley, Jr.; her parents, a sister, Lila Stulpin, and two brothers, Fred Durham and James Robert Durham.
She and her husband lived for many years in Heber Springs where they operated two businesses. After they retired, they spent a few years traveling and eventually settled in Little Rock.
The family is grateful for the excellent care given to her by all the staff at Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the past four and a half years.
There will be a graveside memorial service in Heber Springs at some time in the future.
