Minnie Williams, 82, of Lonoke passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011. She was born June 15, 1928 in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late Anvie and Ida McElyea. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Floyd W. Williams and wife, Dana, of Lonoke; daughters, Flossie Marie Williams, of Lonoke, Brenda Songer, of Clinton, Penny Stracner, Debbie Short and husband, Jerry, all of Lonoke; and grandchildren, Herkey, Vonda, Shannon, Thad, Wesley, Kim, Flinn, Jennifer, Matthew and William; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Eudy and husband, Ralph, of Gravel Ridge and Margaret Coffman, of North Little Rock; and brother, Wayne McElyea and wife, Ruth, of Lonoke. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Floyd Wesley Williams and her brother, E.F. McElyea.
