Minnie Veletta Ketchum Dillard, age 92, of Glenwood, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Chenal Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation in Little Rock. She was born on May 9, 1918, at Bonnerdale, the daughter of James H. Ketchum and Mattie Grant Ketchum. On April 6, 1938, she married Haskell Dillard who preceded her in death on September 8, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Odie Ketchum, Cletis Ketchum and Leonard "Pete" Ketchum; and her sister, Myrtle Caver. She was a member of the Mount Tabor Free Holiness Church, where she was faithful until she was unable to attend. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Hara Donald and Montie Dillard of Little Rock; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Doyce Garner of Bryant; three grandchildren and their spouses, Gray and Elizabeth Dillard of Maumelle, Nancy and Lowell Myers of Pangburn and Chad and Karissa Garner of Benton; five great-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Ryan and Bethany Dillard and Hannah and Whit Garner; her former daughter-in-law, Suzanne Dillard of North Little Rock; one brother, Frank Ketchum of Arkadelphia; two sisters-in-law, Geneva Ketchum of Hot Springs and Stella Ketchum of Lancaster, New York; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and a special lady that helped in her home as her caregiver for many years, Shirley Lang. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 26, 2011, in the Mount Tabor Community Church with Bro. Anthony Woods and Bro. Don Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Gray Dillard, Chad Garner, Lowell Myers, Wendell Ketchum, Roger Ketchum and Harry Crabtree. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff at Chenal Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation and the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mount Tabor Cemetery Association or the Grants Chapel Cemetery Association, c/o Karroll Morphew, 1501 Dollar Road, Glenwood, Arkansas, 71943.
