Milton Dean "Dusty" Rhodes, age 79 died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 in the University Hospital in Denver.  He was born Oct 29, 1926 in Carthage, MO one of 8 children to the late Russell and Cora Vera Hansen Rhodes.  He grew up in Kansas and was a graduate of Marquette High School.  Dusty served in the U.S. Army during WWII.  He lived a long and rich life with many colorful experiences on the railroad and working for many years as a millwright superintendent for electrical power plants.  After his retirement, Dusty worked in a small engine repair shop fixing many mechanical issues no one else could resolve.  He was a quiet, strong man, who did things his own way and lived independently until he died.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Hardage Rhodes.
 
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Rhodes of Denver and Angela Merez of Brighton, CO; three sisters, Juanita Taylor of Schenectady, New York; Lois Musselman and Betty Vosberg of Salina, Kansas; numerous extended family members.
 
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, Sept 2, 2006 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel.  Interment will be in the DeRoche Cemetery near Bismarck.  To sign online guest register visit
