Milford Odell Rush

Milford Odell Rush, 85, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at his home. He was born on November 21, 1938 in New Albany, Mississippi to Marion Odell Rush and Ordie Irene Chunn Rush. He was one out of 5 total siblings. 

Milford joined the United States Air Force as a young man, where he proudly served our country for 3 years. He then spent the majority of his civilian career with Remington Arms as an ammunition technician for over 20 years until his retirement. Once retired, he dedicated his time caring for his beloved wife, Lynn. 

Milford is survived by his sons, Ken Rush (Cindy) of Mountain Home and Mike Rush of Shreveport, Louisiana; step-children William "Joe" Brennan (Eva), and Theresa "Terry" Brennan, and Russell Mateer; 4 grandchildren Brittany Rush Reeves (Robbie), Lauran Rush Jones, Megan Rush, Matthew Rush; step-grandchildren Brandy Mateer, Russell (Austin) Mateer, Sophia Brennan, and Sean Brennan; 4 great-grandchildren Cayden Rush, Weston Jones, Alayna Jones, Lyla Jones; 1 sister Othella Gaines. 

He is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Lynn Warburton Rush; and siblings JT Rush, Larry Rush, and Catherine Finley. 

Visitation for Milford will be held at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will follow immediately at 9:30 AM with Pastor Brian Bowers officiating. Milford will be interred at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery alongside his wife.
