Mildred Sue “Millie” Welch, age 82 of Hot Springs, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
She was born on March 9, 1938 in Amity, the daughter of Jettie Miller Dyer Davis and Lucille Garner Davis. On September 4, 1955 and just before her senior year at Amity High School, she married John H. Welch. They moved to Vallejo, California and, as promised, she finished high school there.
She worked for many years at Casual Corner in Richmond, California where she was their top salesperson for many years. She enjoyed talking about her memories of playing basketball at Amity High School and, after their move back to Arkansas, getting together for regular class reunions. She was known as a spectacular housekeeper and homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Welch of Hot Springs; her daughter, Darla Ann Welch of Monterey, California; and many nieces and nephews.
