Milly Hicks, 83, of Maumelle, opened her eyes in heaven on February 11, 2015. She was born in Greenville, Mississippi to E.P. and Hazel McMillan. She later married Nick Hicks at age 18 and they celebrated over 56 years of marriage before he preceded her in death.
Milly is survived by her children, Holly Elliff and husband, Bill of Maumelle, Gail Getzen and husband, Jimmy of Hendersonville, Tennessee, David Hicks and wife, Peggy of Talekeetna, Alaska, and Kitty Deal and husband, Bill of Kodiak, Alaska, and one sister, Kitty Griffin of Oklahoma City.
She was a woman who knew Christ and was part of The Summit Church in North Little Rock. Full of life and creativity, she was a gifted interior designer in Nashville, Tennessee and a devoted wife and mother who served her family with great love. She was lovingly known as "Nana" to her 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
We will celebrate her life and God's goodness at The Summit Church, Saturday, February 14 at 12:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Legacy Women's Ministry of The Summit Church, 6600 Crystal Hill Road, North Little Rock, AR 72118.
