Mildred Baker

Mildred Lorene McEuen Baker was born August 27, 1927 to Luther Perry "Babe" and Ruby Childers McEuen in Peanut Ridge, Arkansas. She graduated from McRae High School and soon afterward found employment at Arkansas State Hospital where she worked for thirty years and retired proud of the fact that she had never used even one of her allotted sick days. She enjoyed cooking and painting and was a member and reporter of the El Paso Extension Homemakers Club. For many years she has had a card ministry sending hundreds of cards to people who needed words of encouragement. Mildred was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Beebe, where she led discipleship training and was a member of Prime Timers. Along with her parents, Mildred was greeted in Heaven Friday, January 14, 2011 by her beloved husband, Calvin Baker, and son, Calvin Jr.; two brothers, Marlin Ray "Hub" and Joe Wayne McEuen; and two sisters, Mary Margaret Middlebrook and Melva Jean Foreman. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two brothers, Luther Perry (Mary) McEuen of Searcy and Thomas (Bonnie) McEuen of McRae; one daughter, Jennifer Baker McDonough of Beebe; three grandsons, Corey and Conner McDonough of Beebe and Cameron (Rachel) McDonough of San Diego, California; one great-grandson, Lucas McDonough of San Diego, California; one great-granddaughter, Mia Schafer of Beebe; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
