Milarka Yvonne Walker

   Milarka Yvonne Walker, age 60, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, in Little Rock.  She was born August 8, 1962 in Pine Bluff. She was born a leader; strong in the face of adversity. Milarka attended Northeast High School in North Little Rock. After high school, she became a young mother and was blessed with two children, Monica and Dustin.

   Milarka entered the male dominated car business in the late 80’s at which she was successful and respected.  She was fierce and paved the way for other women in Central Arkansas.  Her impact was vast and will be felt for generations.  She loved the beach, concerts, festivals, and country music, especially Keith Urban.

   She was a wonderful mother, sister, and Mimi.  She adored her kids and grandkids; never missing an activity, school event, or an opportunity to be with family.  She was proud of her kids who emulated her as entrepreneurs. She was a very loyal friend who was the first person her friends called when they were in a crisis. You could depend on her to show up and selflessly give in a time of need.

    Milarka is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Gage and brother, Vince Sullivan and two uncles.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Monica Treat (Noah) of Sherwood; son, Dustin Copeland (Cara) of Benton; sister Michele Tyson (Randy) of Sherwood; niece, Miranda; great-nephews, Wyatt and Deakyn; grandchildren, Macie, Parker, Mason, Mackenzie, Morgan, and Baby Treat due in 2023; great-granddaughter, Elliot; her Uncle Charles Justice of San Antonio, Texas; and many extended friends and family.

   Pallbearers will be Bill Blanchard, Mickey Davis, Tony Davis, Buddy Evans, Randy Tyson, and Ricky Gentry.

  Visitation will be held from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street). Funeral service will be at 1:30PM Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the funeral home with burial following at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
