Mike "Stoner" Lavender

Mike “Stoner” Lavender, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

He was born on February 2, 1957, in Norman, the son of Charles Doughten and Ruby Mae Brooks Doughten. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Katie Lavender; and his brother, Earnest Lavender.

Mike was the sweetest guy to be around, a wonderful, amazing husband who loved the Lord with all his heart.  He was a friend to everyone and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Melba Lavender, of Norman; his son, Steven Lavender, of Glenwood; his daughter, Reva and her husband, Jarred Vaughn, of Hopper; two grandsons, Dacoda Vaughn and Caiden Vaughn; two nieces, Patricia Lavender and Carol Lavender; two nephews, Lonnie Lavender and Curtis Lavender and his wife, Meaghan; and numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.

Honorary Pallbearers are James Cogburn, Frank Martin, Danny Davis and Phillip Shuffield.
