Michael Todd Smith, 44, of Hot Springs died unexpectedly Saturday April 8, 2017. He was born October 6, 1972 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Paul and Mauriene Smith.
Todd will be missed by his mother, Mauriene Sullivan of Horatio; his father, Paul Smith and step-mother, Elizabeth Smith of Little Rock; sisters and brothers-in-law, Schelly and Rick Paul, Debi and Roger Rios, Amanda and Heath Culp; nephews, Jonathon Paul, Darnell Paul, and Harley Culp; nieces, Hailey Culp and Addison Rios; and other family members and friends.
Todd was very compassionate and sensitive to the needs of people who had significant struggles. On several occasions, he provided food, shelter, and other needs for homeless people. Todd's final act of giving came through organ donation. He also loved hiking in nature, animals and researching genealogy.
Todd loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was twelve years old. He found comfort from reading his bible.
Funeral services will be Thursday April 13, 2017 at 10:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Kinzler officiating. The church is located in western Pulaski County at 27025 Kanis Road, 72223.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, a homeless shelter, or an animal rescue organization.
