Michael Price

Michael Paul Price, 68, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away August 13, 2021.  He was born March 21, 1953, in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Kenneth Paul and Wilma Gwendolyn (Sharp) Price.

Michael was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Benton where he served as deacon. He earned a double bachelor’s degree in chemistry and education.  Michael worked as a chemist at Reynolds Manufacturing and in the health and safety division with Acme Brick and the State of Arkansas.  His passion was collecting sports trading cards.  He enjoyed going to card shows and looked forward to the opportunity to trade, buy, and sell.  Michael loved Niloak pottery and owned several pieces. He was very patriotic and was a Mason.

Preceding Michael in death are his parents; sister, Patricia Brandon; and brother, Kenneth Price.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of ten years, Norma Price of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter, Andrea Drake and husband Tyler of Benton, Arkansas; grandchild, Lucas Drake; niece, Heather Spruill and husband Kenny of Hot Springs, Arkansas; great niece and nephew:  Kenley Ellen and Jake Thomas Spurill; step-children:  Kristin Golden and husband Donny, Ashley Ledwith and husband Jospeh, and Matthew Clark Hunter III; step-grandchildren:  Hailey Golden, Emma Golden, Kieran Ledwith, Kellan Ledwith, Matthew Hunter, IV, and Kylie Hunter; and many more family members and friends who love Michael and will miss him always.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.  Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 19 at First Presbyterian Church, 501 E North St, Benton, AR.  Burial to follow at 3:30 PM at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  Assisting as pallbearers are:  Roger Tilly, MD, Doug Gates, Tommy Freeman, Kenneth Hewitt, Kenny Spruill, and Jake Thomas Spruill.
