Micheal Owen (Mike) Weed, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 31, 2024. He was born on August 10, 1944 in Little Rock to parents Mildred Cathcart Weed and Frederick O. Weed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Don.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Freibolt Weed, children Dr. David Weed (Tracy) and Robyn Feimster (Tommy) and his two grandchildren Dr. Macey Feimster and Zac Feimster.
He enjoyed his friendships including lifelong ones made at Hall High School and the University of Central Arkansas where he played football and graduated with a degree in business and economics. Mike was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church. He retired from Benton School District after a long career as coach, teacher, and administrator.
The family thanks all of the kind nurses, physicians, and support caregivers at Arkansas Urology for all their care over the past nine years and also to the professionals at Elite Hospice for their compassion and care.
At Mike’s request, there will be no ceremony at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation or your charity of choice.
