Michael Edwin Davis, 50, was called home to our Heavenly Father on July 22, 2015 after his courageous battle with cancer. "Davis", a nick-name called by his friends, was born in Malvern, AR on December 5, 1964 and lived in Benton at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his sister, Kristie Davis Holicer and husband Brad of Benton; son, John Michael Davis, 17, of Magnolia; daughters, Katie Lee Davis, 13, of Magnolia, AR and Hadley Benning Davis, 9, of Bryant, AR; nieces, Samantha Carol Holicer, 23, of Katie, TX, Anna Lee Holicer, 18, of Benton, and Allie Rose Holicer, 15, also of Benton; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and long-time friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Michael "Mickey" Davis of Poyen, and Betty Ann Benning Davis of Benton.
Michael was a graduate of Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Marketing. He was a member of the Epsilon Kappa Chapter of the Sigma Pi fraternity in the fall of 1987. He was instrumental in raising funds for social activities and various charities. He worked for Patterson Dental as a sales representative where he lived in Dallas, TX for many years. He loved hunting, golfing, and in his high school days was a great football player. Most importantly, he loved his children and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ.
Memorial service, officiated by Pastor Chris Simmons, followed by visitation reception will be held Monday, July 27, 2015, 6:00 P.M., at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR 72015. Online guestbook: www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
