Michael Alan Litwa

We are celebrating Mike’s life with you today by announcing his transition from this life on December 8, 2023, surrounded by family, to his eternal home.

Mike was born on February 16, 1946, to Al and Doris Litwa in Yonkers, New York.  He has one brother, Richard (Vanessa) of Cabot.  Mike also has cherished twins, Mindy and Michael (Katie), and his beloved wife, Katherine Elizabeth; his dear, late son, Kevin; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives whom he dearly loves and who love him.

Mike grew up and attended school in Hot Springs and went on to graduate from what is now Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.  After college, Mike taught elementary school in Altheimer, Ark.  There, he met the love of his life, Elizabeth, to whom he was happily married 53 years.

After moving to Little Rock and getting to know some wonderful people, Michael opened his furniture store, Contemporary Designs, on Rodney Parham Road in the 1970s.  Later, he opened Razorback Gym in Breckenridge Village, Tropical Sno, and a landscaping business.  Anyone who patronized these businesses, or who knew Mike, knows that he gave his all to each venture.

Mike had a passion for life and people.  A heart of gold always reaching out to others while, of course, always letting others know of God’s infinite love for them.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Doug and Eddie for showing God’s grace that abounds, along with Robbie and Robin and all of you who expressed so much love and support toward Mike over the past year.

Mike will be greatly missed here.  But we find comfort in knowing that we will be reunited with him eternally someday – when God is ready to call us home.
