Merrill D. Keith, Sr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2010. He was born on September 13, 1934.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Jo, their daughter Vicki Miller, who resides in San Antonio with her husband Dave, and their son Merrill Douglas Keith, Jr., who resides in Little Rock with his wife Priscilla. He is also survived by one sister, Norma J. Keith, and his four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Norma Keith, one sister, and two brothers.Merrill, a member of the Center Fork Baptist Church in Hot Springs, was a veteran of the Air Force, having served during the Korean War. He retired in 1995 to Hot Springs after working for 32 years as a salesman for Hostess Bakery, and spent many happy years on his beloved houseboat on Lake Ouachita. He was a hard-working, fun-loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, who never ceased to bring joy to all those around him.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday, September 10, 2010, with the funeral service immediately following at 10:00 AM at the Huson Funeral Home Chapel, 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock AR, 72209. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas Rice Depot's Food for Kids program.
