Melvin Allen Ledbetter, 64, of Jacksonville, passed away May 27, 2012. Born in Little Rock to Marvin M. and Bettie Hazeslip Ledbetter, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James Kenneth Brasfield, Carl Edward Brasfield and Jimmy Ledbetter, he is survived by his wife, Sherry Ledbetter; daughters, Brenda Aldridge of Sherwood, Stacy R. Bunkosky and husband, Scott of Ponte Vedra, Florida and Stephanie A. Bailey of Scott; sisters, Hattie Laverne Sconci, Marilyn Ledbetter, Dorothy Ledbetter and Ruby Diane Ledbetter; brothers, Terry Ledbetter, and Gary Ledbetter; and grandchildren, Blake and Melanie Bailey, Jaelyn Felder, Noah, Nicholas, Nathan and Nehemiah Bunkosky.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Friday, June 1 at 11:30 a.m. at McArthur Church, officiated by Pastor Marc Bateman, followed by interment with Military Honors at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
