Mel (Melvin) Wayne Hall, 70, of Benton, Arkansas died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, Arkansas.
He was born July 16, 1946 in Texarkana, Arkansas and was preceded in death by his father, Wayne E. Hall. He is survived by his wife, Angela Vick Hall of Benton; mother, Mattie Joe Hall of Texarkana, Texas; and brother-in-law, Ben Vick of Rogers, Arkansas.
He was retired from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department where he was a designer in State Aid. He was an avid gardener and an excellent cook.
Mel was a loving and devoted husband and son who adored his cats, Muffy and Julie and his parrot, Cracker.
He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church in Benton. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Spring Creek Baptist Church, 19200 Interstate 30 Frontage Rd., Benton, Arkansas. Fellowship immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Online obituary: www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
