Melissa Ann Wilhite

Melissa Ann Wilhite, age 53, of Glenwood, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021.

She was born on October 6, 1967, in Murfreesboro, the daughter of Bill W. Wilhite and Lois Faye Cogburn Wilhite. She was preceded in death by her father; and her brother, Billy Wilhite.

Melissa was a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church. She adored her cat, Critter and her dog, Lily. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, working puzzles and being outdoors. She was always ready to go with anyone who was going anywhere. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Hope (Brant) Lock and Austin Golden, all of Glenwood; her grandchildren, Dawson, Braxton and Kirstyn; her mother, Lois Wilhite of Glenwood; her brothers, Denver Taylor, Wendell (Trina) Mann and Robert (Kari) Wilhite, all of Glenwood; her sisters, Darlene (Kyle) Cogburn of Jessieville and Makesha (Matthew) Golden of Glenwood; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 1, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Newhope.

Pallbearers will be Russell Mann, Tyler Mann, Matt Stafford, Mark Cogburn, David Briggs and Timothy English.
