Meldean Lacefield, 84, of Little Rock, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016. She was born in Woodruff County, AR on March 7, 1932 to Bert and Hattie Johnson Wade, one of twelve children. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Adams and Mac Lacefield, brother, Audie Wade and sister, Dot Glover, she is survived by her daughters, Nita Lisemby of Little Rock and Leann Pinkerton (Matt) of Sheridan, AR; step-son, David Lacefield (Joyce) of Lantana, TX and step-daughter, Kathy McLeod (James) of Little Rock; siblings, Bonnie Warren, Martha Thomas, Bert Wade (Barbara), Irene Thompson (Tommy), Lloyd Wade (Kay), Helen Cox (Waymond), John Wade, Jim Wade (Nancy) and Frances Harrell; grandchildren, Jesse Lisemby, Kristen and Andrew Pinkerton; step-grandchildren, Connor, Evan, Tyler, Teresa and Chuck; great-grandchild, Olivia; step-great-grandchildren, Henry, Liliana, Gloria, Kristen and Zac; three step great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 7 from 2-4 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Funeral services will be held at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 17201 Arch Street, Little Rock on Monday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
