Maynor Veliz

Pastor Maynor Veliz, 50, of Alexander, Arkansas went to be with the Lord November 24, 2020.  He was born May 29, 1970 in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Maynor loved the Lord with all his heart, and received his calling to come share the gospel to the United States while still living in Guatemala.  He has evangelized in several states together with his wife and family.  Maynor was very educated in theology, and received two Master’s Degrees.  He was the pastor of New Elim Monte Hebron church and loved his congregation will all his heart.  Maynor lived and breathed to preach the gospel and give back to his community.  During the Covid-19 pandemic he helped hand out over 50,000 meals.  He gave willingly and sacrificially.

Maynor leaves behind his wife, Eliamit Flores Veliz of Alexander, Arkansas; six sons:  Levi Veliz and wife Paola, Jesse Veliz, Tony Veliz, Josias Veliz, Johan Veliz, all of Alexander, Arkansas and Andy Veliz of Guatemala; grandson, Ezequias Veliz; brother, Sergio Veliz and wife Rosario of San Diego, California; two sisters:  Lilly Veliz of San Diego, California and Zoyla Veliz of Cleveland, Ohio; spiritual father and mentor, Alvarra Cabrera of Guatemala; and many more family members, church members, and friends who love Maynor and will miss him always.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, December 4, outdoors at Maynor’s church, New Elim Monte Hebron, 7628 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, Arkansas.  Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Willy Aldana, will follow at 11:00 AM.  Burial at Smith-Rosemont Cemetery in Benton, Arkansas.

El Pastor Maynor Veliz, de 50 años, de Alexander, Arkansas fue a estar con el Señor el 24 de noviembre de 2020. Nació el 29 de mayo de 1970 en la Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala.

Maynor conoció al Señor de joven, y lo amó con todo su corazón; él recibió su llamamiento de venir a compartir el evangelio a los Estados Unidos mientras aún vivía en Guatemala. Ha evangelizado en varios estados junto con su esposa y su familia. Maynor fue muy educado en teología, y recibió dos maestrías. Él fue el pastor de la iglesia de New Elim Monte Hebrón y amaba a su congregación todo su corazón. Maynor vivió y respiró para predicar el evangelio y devolver a su comunidad. Durante la pandemia de Covid-19 ayudó a repartir más de 50,000 comidas. Dio voluntaria y sacrificadamente.

Maynor deja atrás a su esposa, Eliamith Flores Veliz de Alexander, Arkansas; seis hijos: Levi Veliz y su esposa Paola, Jesse Veliz, Tony Veliz, Josias Veliz, Johan Veliz, todos de Alexander, Arkansas y Andy Veliz de Guatemala; nieto, Ezequias Veliz; hermano, Sergio Veliz y su esposa Rosario de San Diego, California; dos hermanas: Lilly Veliz de San Diego, California y Zoila Veliz de Cleveland, Ohio; padre espiritual y mentor, Álvaro Cabrera de Guatemala; y muchos más miembros de la familia, miembros de la iglesia y amigos que aman a Maynor y lo extrañarán siempre.

El funeral se llevará a cabo de 10:00-11:00 AM, viernes, 4 de diciembre, al aire libre en la iglesia de Maynor, New Elim Monte Hebron, 7628 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, Arkansas. El servicio funerario, oficiado por el Pastor Willy Aldana, seguirá a las 11:00 AM. Y el entierro en el Cementerio Smith-Rosemont en Benton, Arkansas.
