Maxine Shuffield

Maxine Shuffield, 91, of North Little Rock, passed away February 20, 2016. She was born December 23, 1924 in Clinton, Arkansas to the late Clarence Ruel and Emma Emmerson Ledbetter. She was a lifelong member of Levy United Methodist Church and sang second alto in the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her; husband, Thomas Shuffield, Sr.; her parents and brother, Ruel Ledbetter.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Shuffield, Jr. (Mary) of North Little Rock and Tim Shuffield (Lynn) of Sparta, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Alex (Rachel), Tena; great-granddaughter, Charlotte; brothers, John, Benjamin and Quentin "Q.D." Ledbetter and sister, Alice Ticer.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2016 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
