Maxine Kelley Maxwell was born in Benton, AR on February 28, 1918 to her parents Henry and Pearl Kelley and joined her heavenly Father on July 1, 2015. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Harris "Max" Maxwell; son-in-law Eddie Seals; and grandson, Kelley R. Chandler.
Maxine is survived by daughter, Cathy Seals of Benton, AR; son, Kelley D. Chandler and wife Sherry of Lonsdale, AR; grandchildren, Greg Chandler and Kelley Beth Gardner of Arkadelphia, AR, Stephanie Owen, Michael Seals, and Stacie Smith of Benton, AR, and Jill Moody and Jeff Johnston of Lonsdale, AR; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Maxine had many friends and leaves behind many who love her dearly.
First Baptist Church, Benton, was her church home and she spent many years singing in the Senior Adult Choir there. She loved the Lord and her family above all else and was always there to help in any way that she could. Maxine was the owner of Maxwell Grocery Store. She was a very special lady to all who knew her.
A celebration of her life, officiated by Dr. Rick Grant, will be held on Friday, July 3rd, 2015, 2:00 P.M. at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR, 72015. Burial will follow at Old Rosemont Cemetery, Benton, AR. Reception visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
